Two Sweet Peas | Northern Utah Newborn Photography

I have been waiting for these little ladies for a while! I met their momma and daddy when they did their maternity session with me this past winter. Then these sweet girlies came super early and had to stay in the hospital for a bit. But they are home, happy and healthy. And ready for their closeups! Enjoy the sweetness. I know I will :)

And just for fun, I thought I’d post a “behind the scenes” picture. You may not know it, but newborn photography takes a lot of patience and hard work. Luckily, I always have some tricks up my sleeve. In the photo below are a few of the tricks I have found to work for me.  And sometimes, a client comes up with a marvelous fool-proof solution to a problem! And I’m always grateful to those parents who are willing to help hold a reflector or a baby for a moment during a scene-change!

Orchard Sneak Peak #2 | Utah Family Photographer

I am so fortunate to have such amazing and awesome clients and friends! I had this idea last week to take some photos in this beautiful orchard near my home. So many of them jumped at the chance to play in a beautiful sunlit orchard! Can you blame them! I am kicking myself for not taking my kids out. I mean, seriously, look at this light!

Orchard Sneak Peak #1 | Utah Family Photographer

What a beautiful week we had! I was so fortunate to have some families who were willing to take me up on my bloomin’ orchard idea this past week. We had so much fun romping around in the orchard, dodging chickens, and other folks out there enjoying the spring goodies.  Here is just a sneak peek of the fun we had.

More spring goodness to come :)

My Personal Love | PhotoFlurry Friday

My absolute favorite season is spring. By far. There is just something about the earth’s renewal that pleases me. The circle of death and then renewed life after a season. Plus, it’s beautiful. That’s why I’m so grateful I found a new spring haven. An orchard. I took about 4 sessions there this week. And while it was completely crazy, I was so happy I got to stay a little later after one session and just take a look around. Admire the sun coming through the trees. The contrast of the bright pink next to the pale blue of the sky. Sometimes we need to just slow down and take in our surroundings. Lesson learned.
